Eve Air Mobility Reveals Latest eVTOL Progress at Farnborough Airshow 2026
Eve Air Mobility will showcase the latest progress of its eVTOL program at the 2026 Farnborough Airshow, highlighting flight testing, certification milestones, and its growing commercial momentum.
Eve Air Mobility Moves One Step Closer to Commercial eVTOL Flights.
Eve Air Mobility is heading to the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow with an important milestone to share. Backed by Embraer, the company has moved beyond the concept phase and is now making steady progress through flight testing, certification, and preparations for commercial operations.
After successfully completing its maiden flight in December 2025, Eve’s engineering prototype has logged dozens of test flights, providing valuable data on aircraft performance and system reliability. The next phase—transition flights from hover to wing-borne flight—is set to begin this quarter, while production of six certification-ready prototypes is expected later this year.
At Farnborough, visitors will be able to explore a full-scale eVTOL mock-up and experience the company’s advanced flight simulator. Eve will also provide updates on its certification timeline, growth strategy, and commercial plans.
The company is building more than just an aircraft. Alongside the eVTOL, Eve is developing digital solutions for maintenance, fleet management, and urban air traffic integration through its TechCare and Vector platforms, creating a complete ecosystem for future operators.
Commercial interest continues to grow as well. Eve now holds an order backlog of around 2,700 aircraft, with recent agreements from Brazil’s Revo and Japan’s AirX covering up to 50 eVTOLs each. AirX expects to begin commercial operations in 2029.
Supported by Embraer’s decades of aerospace experience, Eve Air Mobility will use Farnborough 2026 to demonstrate how its eVTOL program is moving steadily toward certification and bringing the future of sustainable urban air mobility closer to reality.
